Impact: A Human-Based Approach
Yellow Seed’s transparent trade platform creates impact in a human-based approach. This includes inviting farmers to decide what impact is needed, helping them set goals and targets, and allowing buyers and other stakeholders to track how the prices they pay contribute to final impact. This process will be highlighted by an Impact Dashboard, a central component of our trade platform.
Two pilot programs in spring/summer 2017 will showcase how human-based impact can be incorporated into the trade process on Yellow Seed and how those stories can be visually expressed and shared. The learnings from these pilot programs will inform how Yellow Seed continues to develop its human-based approach to impact for the cacao growers on the platform.
